Louis Vuitton has launched its first makeup line, La Beauté, with lipsticks priced steeply at $160 each. The collection, created in collaboration with makeup artist Pat McGrath, will launch in China today, followed by a global release. As the luxury sector faces a slowdown, questions arise about who the target audience will be for such high-priced products and how they will perform in a market with cheaper alternatives.
