Lok Adalat to be held in all 7 taluks of Mandya district on July 12

Lok Adalat will be held in all seven taluks in Mandya district on July 12, and will be organised by the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority.

Senior Civil Judge and member-secretary of the Mandya district Legal Services Authority Anand M. said in a statement that preliminary meetings were being held in all the taluks to settle disputes on July 12, which is the second Lok Adalat of the year.

Efforts will be made to resolve civil disputes, including property disputes, division suits, money recovery cases, suits filed under Specific Relief Act, Motor Vehicle Cases, MMRD cases, alimony cases, marriage reconciliation cases, check bounce cases, and other criminal cases that can be reconciled through the Lok Adalat, the statement said.

In addition to cases pending in the courts, the Lok Adalat can settle pre-litigation cases like bank recovery cases, disputes pertaining to electricity and water charges, labour disputes, etc.

There will be no need to pay the court fees for cases that can be resolved through a lawyer or by personally visiting the authority, Mr. Anand said in a statement.

He urged the public and parties involved in disputes to make use of the Lok Adalat to resolve their cases.
