Scottish singing sensation Lewis Capaldi dropped by Comrie Croft this week, a few days after his Glastonbury comeback. The Perthshire venue posted a picture of the musician visiting its Gorse Cafe on Monday, June 30. It said: 鈥楪lastonbury on Friday, Comrie Croft on Monday. Thanks for visiting the Croft @lewiscapaldi.鈥 The 28-year-old 鈥楽omeone You Loved鈥 singer took two years off following a Glastonbury 2023 performance where he was seen struggling with his Tourette鈥檚 syndrome to the point fans had to finish songs for him. He took a break to focus on his health but delighted fans by reappearing at the Somerset festival on Friday in a surprise slot. He fought back the tears several times during Friday鈥檚 Glastonbury show at Worthy Farm and was met with a deafening roar having taken the stage. Lewis told the crowd: 鈥淭he last three years haven鈥檛 been the best for me. It鈥檚 been a difficult time. 鈥淭his has been my f***ing goal 鈥 to get back here doing this.鈥 He added: 鈥淭he second time鈥檚 a charm. I鈥檝e really really missed doing this over the last few years. 鈥淎s I say, it鈥檚 been difficult at times to think that this maybe wouldn鈥檛 ever happen again. 鈥淕enuinely, from the bottom of my heart, it means the f***ing world.鈥 He posted on Instagram: 鈥楪lastonbury it鈥檚 so incredible to be back, thank you so much for having me x鈥 Just hours before he took to the stage, Lewis announced that he had released a new song called Survive. The emotional track, which charts his battle with anxiety and Tourette鈥檚, marks another successful comeback for the singer. The song has become the nation鈥檚 biggest selling track of the week, with Someone You Loved also tipped by the Official Charts Company to re-enter the Top 20. Survive has been described by Lewis鈥檚 team as 鈥渁 bold and brave new anthem that underscores a challenging period in his career that ended at Glastonbury 2023 when the Pyramid Stage crowd helped carry an emotional Capaldi over the finish line鈥. In it, he sings: 鈥淚 swear to God I鈥檒l survive, if it kills me to, I鈥檓 gonna鈥 get up and try, if it鈥檚 the last thing I鈥檒l do.鈥 The singer struggled after achieving global success in 2019 when his breakthrough single charted in 29 countries and remained at No1 for seven weeks. His debut album Divinely Inspired to a Hellish Extent and the 2023 follow-up, Broken by Desire to be Heavenly Sent, also topped the charts. The worldwide success and adulation took its toll and Lewis stayed out of the limelight before playing Glastonbury to one of the weekend鈥檚 biggest crowds. He is heading back out on tour after his sensational Glastonbury comeback. The Scots singer revealed 10 dates in the UK and Ireland in September. He wrote: 鈥淎bout time I got back to work 鈥 hope to see you out there. Pre-sale opens 9am Tuesday, July 8.鈥 He will play two Scottish dates 鈥 in Glasgow and Aberdeen 鈥 before rounding things off in Dublin on September 29.
