From its Blackpink-esque fictional Huntr/x to enchanting animation, fantasy-backed plot and gorgeous choreography, Netflix’s latest animation has everything going right. But above all, the music of this K-pop-backed plot has become its USP, so much so, that the tracks including Takedown, Golden, Your Idol and Soda Pop have been steadily climbing the charts. KPop Demon Hunters premiered on the streaming giant on June 20, and positioned itself as one of the top 3 trending movies on the OTT. Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, it is a fun lore that has taken over social media trends with its positive word of mouth. On June 26, Koreaboo reported that Your Idol and Golden have been achieving peaks by the day on global rankings. Infact Your Idol has made it to the 8th spot in the top ten on U.S Spotify chart. With this, it joins BTS in the list. Technically, the Saja Boys have also become the first fifth generation group to do so. Until now, BTS has remained the most streamed group in Spotify history, ranking amongst some of the biggest solo pop acts. The K-pop icons have had two songs, Dynamite and Boy With Luv reach the top ten on the same chart, being the only Korean boy group to do so. Saja Boys have now joined BTS in this feat which no other group has done so far. Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, KEVIN WOO and samUIL Lee have lent the singing voices to the Saja Boys characters. Meanwhile, the other lead girl band Huntr/x has been voiced by Arden Cho, May Hong and Ji-young Yoo, and sung by Ejae (Rumi), Audrey Nuna (Mira) and Rei Ami (Zoey). Its song Takedown features K-pop group TWICE’s Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Chaeyoung.
