Three men were arrested for allegedly gang-raping a law student inside the campus of South Calcutta Law College in Kolkata. One of the accused is a former student of the college, while the other two are currently in their third semester at the same institution.
According to the police, a case was registered after the victim submitted a written complaint, naming all three men.
The alleged rape took place on Wednesday evening when the woman visited the college. The three men reportedly took her to a room inside the building, where the assault took place.
Two of the accused were arrested on Thursday and the third on Friday. All three appeared in court and have been remanded to four days’ custody.

According to the complaint filed by the survivor, on Wednesday evening when one of the accused expressed romantic interest and made unwanted advances, which she rejected. She alleged that he then forced himself on her. During the incident, she experienced breathing difficulties and asked for an inhaler. After using it, she was taken to the guard room on the college campus, where the assault allegedly continued.
The survivor further stated that when she tried to resist, the accused threatened her with a video they had secretly recorded. She claimed they warned her that the footage would be shared on social media if she did not comply. Under this pressure and fear, the alleged assault continued.
