‘Khaas-ye-Aam’: Two-Day Mango Festival To Be Held In Delhi – Check Dates, Venue & Timings

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is all set to host a two-day mango festival, titled ‘Khass-ye-Aam,’ on July 5 and 6 at the Palika Services Officers’ Institute (PSOI), Vinay Marg, Chanakyapuri. Running from 12 noon to 9 PM on both days, the festival will showcase over 300 varieties of mangoes, offer mango-based delicacies, and feature competitions and entertainment for visitors. Visitors will be able to enjoy a wide range of mango products such as juices, shakes, chutneys, murabbas, and pickles. The event will include displays by government mango research institutes, farmer societies, and individual growers. Some unique mango varieties on display will include Arunika, Ambika, Sansesan, Tomy, Fajali, Langra, Lucknow Safeda, Kachcha Meetha, Dudhiya Gola, Safeda Amin, and Amrapali, among many others. Government institutions such as ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture (CISH), Lucknow and ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi will participate, with IARI showcasing its own variety—Pusa Lalima. Additionally, 10 farmer societies and individual growers will each exhibit over 100 varieties at their stalls. Around 25 mango vendors and sellers will also take part in the event. Alongside the mango displays, NDMC has planned competitions and fun-filled activities for children and visitors to enhance the festive experience.
