Kelly Ripa has given broadcast news journalist David Muir perhaps his most shocking scoop of the day: She took a series of “indecent photos” in front of images of the World News Tonight host on display at their workplace.
As Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos welcomed Muir to Live With Kelly & Mark Tuesday for an interview, the former gushed over Muir’s looks, joking that she would formally refer to him as “Commander Handsome” on the air.
Muir moved the conversation on to the couple’s “nice studio” location, after they moved their talk show’s production to ABC’s headquarters in Manhattan earlier this season.
“We have unfettered access to David in this building. Sometimes we just go up and stare at him and he doesn’t even know we’re there,” Ripa said as the audience laughed.
Muir observed that, inside the studio, “there are terrifying, gigantic images of all of us in this building,” with Consuelos noting that he enjoys a particular shot of Muir riding in a helicopter.
Then, Ripa stunned Muir with an admission of her own.
“I’ve got to tell you, I have some very indecent photos of me standing in front of your picture that I can’t show on the air,” she said. “Because they told me it was not suitable for broadcast.”
Consuelos jumped in, furthering the bit as he said that “HR was right next to her,” so they “had to make sure” in the end.
The nature of the photos wasn’t immediately clear, and the trio moved on to other topics shortly thereafter.

Ripa and Consuelos have long established themselves as morning TV’s spiciest couple, with their Hollywood romance leading to amusing moments on the air ever since Consuelos took over cohosting duties from Ryan Seacrest in 2023 — including on-air foot massages, man-to-man wrestling, and Ripa showing off a nearly nude photo of her husband on the air.
