Jeffrey Epstein final prison video released as FBI probe concludes paedophile financier didn鈥檛 keep 'client list' and wasn't murdered

Sex offender Jeffrey Epstein did not keep a 鈥渃lient list鈥 and was not murdered during his short time in a detention facility, an investigation by the FBI has concluded.

The disgraced financier died in a New York prison cell on August 10, 2019, as he awaited 鈥 without the chance of bail 鈥 his trial on sex trafficking charges.

Epstein鈥檚 death provoked intense public scrutiny, while a number of conspiracy theories emerged which disputed the official ruling of death by suicide.

One theory suggested Epstein鈥檚 crimes implicated government officials, celebrities and business leaders and that someone had killed him to conceal them.

However, the investigation by the FBI and the Department of Justice, found there was no 鈥渆vidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties鈥.

There was also 鈥渘o credible evidence鈥 that the notorious sex offender kept a 鈥渃lient list鈥 in order to blackmail prominent political and business leaders, the investigation found.

Video footage of Epstein鈥檚 prison cell between around 10.40pm on August 9, 2019 鈥 when he was locked in his cell 鈥 and around 6.30am the next day when he was found unresponsive, was examined as part of the investigation.

The newly-released footage shows him wearing an orange jumpsuit being led to his cell by a guard at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre.

Other than the guard leaving, no one walks across the common area towards Epstein鈥檚 cell or away from it.

An FBI memo, obtained by Axios, states: 鈥淭he FBI enhanced the relevant footage by increasing its contrast, balancing the colour and improving its sharpness for greater clarity and viewability.

鈥淭he FBI鈥檚 independent review of this footage confirmed that from the time Epstein was locked in his cell at around 10:40 pm on August 9, 2019, until around 6:30 am the next morning, nobody entered any of the tiers in the SHU.”

“This systematic review revealed no incriminating 鈥榗lient list.鈥 There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.鈥
