STELLANTIS STLAM

The automaker may have to close factories due to the risk of hefty European Union fines for not complying with CO2 emission targets, the head of its European operations, Jean-Philippe Imparato, said on Tuesday.

He also told Italian news agencies Stellantis was not giving up on its loss-making Maserati sport car brand, but a new plan to relaunch it, possibly through synergies with Alfa Romeo, would take some time.

New car sales in Italy fell in June by 17.44% year-on-year, the transport ministry said on Tuesday, but market leader Stellantis suffered an even bigger crash, with sales down 32.83%, according to Reuters calculations.

UNICREDIT UCG

The bank has brought forward the date of the board meeting due to approve second quarter and first half results to July 22 from July 28, a statement said. The results will be communicated on July 23 instead of July 29.

BANCA IFIS IF, ILLIMITY BANK ILTY

The final results of Banca Ifis’ offer for illimity confirm the provisional ones communicated on June 27, with 84.092% of illimity’s share capital tendered. The offer has thus become fully effective, Banca Ifis said on Tuesday.

SAFILO SFL

The eyewear maker on Tuesday announced a 10-year global licensing agreement with Victoria Beckham, with the first collection due out in January.

S&P Global Ratings has assigned the ‘BBB+’ rating to Italgas and Italgas Reti, with a stable outlook, following the completion of the acquisition and merger by incorporation of 2i Rete Gas.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni meets Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican (0930 GMT).

Rome, Italy-Malaysia Business summit with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim (0830-1000 GMT).

Rome, Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, Industry Minister Adolfo Urso, EU commissioner for regional funds Raffaele Fitto take part in the annual assembly of the Italian Association of Insurance Companies (ANIA) (from 0830 GMT).
