Is there duos in Elden Ring Nightreign? – 1v1 Video Chat & LIve Streaming & Influencer Subscription

Players have been flocking to Elden Ring Nightreign since it launched, and since then there’s been one question on everyone’s mind: does Nightreign have duos? Elden Ring lets two players team up and tackle the world, so it’s only natural to wonder whether FromSoftware has followed suit with its strange new title.

Is there duos in Elden Ring Nightreign?

There is no duos mode in Elden Ring Nightreign. Unfortunately, players are currently limited to playing solo or with three players. For the three player version, you can jump in with two friends or try your luck with random players using matchmaking. Even if you’re just playing with one other friend, it will still queue you up and give you a random player.

The good news is that FromSoftware is working on Duo Expeditions. “In addition to the DLC releasing later this year,” the social media post states, “new additions will be gradually implemented, including enhanced fights against existing Nightlords starting this month, as well as Duo Expeditions at a later date.” So while it’s not available in an official capacity yet, FromSoft is working on it.

Now, “in an official capacity” is important because you can technically play duos. Firstly, if your third player quits you will be left with duos, however, this does not rebalance the match, so you will still be fighting foes that utilize three-player scaling.

The only other way to play Nightreign duos is to use the Seamless Co-op mod that lets you launch with just two players as well as a Scaling For Duos mod that adjusts things to be in-line with only having two players. Be advised, these are mods, so you will need to have a certain level of technical skill to install and operate them, and FromSoftware may or may not support their use.

For now, there is no duos in Nightreign. That’s the bad news, but obviously the good news is that it is being developed and will be here “at a later date”. While you wait, try and find a third or carry those randoms via matchmaking. You can find more help over on our Elden Ring Nightreign page.
