Iran鈥檚 envoy to China slams US, Israel for flouting intl. law

Speaking during a session at the 13th World Peace Forum in Beijing, held from July 2 to 4, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli denounced Western powers for their pursuit of domination and subjugation of other nations.

鈥淧owerful countries like the United States and their regional allies, such as the Zionist regime, do not abide by laws, do not think about mutual interests, and do not recognize the concept of cooperation; they seek to dominate and subjugate all other countries.鈥 Rahmani Fazli said, according to Press TV.

鈥淎 balanced relationship between powerful countries and those with medium power can only be realized when the laws of international organizations, mutual interests, and cooperation attain their true meaning,鈥 he highlighted.

The 13th session of the World Peace Forum was held under the shadow of escalating tensions in West Asia, particularly in light of Israel鈥檚 military aggression against Iran.

On June 13, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked act of aggression against Iran, assassinating many high-ranking military commanders and nuclear scientists.

The massive strikes on Iranian territory, which lasted for 12 days, focused on nuclear-related facilities as well as civilian sites. These attacks also caused over 900 civilian fatalities.

In response, the Iranian armed forces, led by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), launched a powerful and unprecedented retaliatory campaign, Operation True Promise III, against the Israeli regime, using many of its domestically developed new-generation missiles for the first time.

Hundreds of Iranian ballistic missiles and drones overwhelmed Israeli air defenses and struck key military, intelligence, industrial, energy, and R&D facilities across the occupied Palestinian territories.

On June 24, the Israeli regime, isolated and abandoned, declared a unilateral ceasefire, announced on its behalf by US President Donald Trump

The 13th World Peace Forum commenced in Beijing, with the participation of around 400 experts, politicians, and scholars from various countries.

The forum aims to provide a platform for perspectives and positions that are often overlooked or unrepresented in Western media and similar summits.
