In her latest interview, Ira Khan expressed how grateful she was that Nupur Shikare had been by her side while she struggled to cope with her mental health. She shared how she was sceptical about starting a relationship with him amid the problems she faced, but Nupur鈥檚 reassurance made it easy.
In an interview with Rodrigo Canelas, Ira Khan opened up about the doubts she had when entering her relationship. She said, 鈥淎t the beginning, I kept wondering if I should even get into this relationship because I wasn鈥檛 in a good place mentally. I questioned whether I鈥檇 be the kind of partner I wanted to be and if it was fair to put him through all that. I went back and forth, had long chats with my best friend, and finally decided to be honest. So I called him and told him everything I was thinking. He simply said, 鈥業鈥檓 an adult鈥擨 can decide for myself if I want to deal with your mess or not.鈥 That鈥檚 when I felt okay moving forward.鈥

Ira Khan runs a mental health support organisation, and Nupur Shikhare is a fitness trainer. He鈥檚 trained Aamir Khan, Sushmita Sen, and other celebrities. Nupur and Ira were engaged in September 2022, after the former proposed to his ladylove during Ironman Italy, where he competed. Ira and Nupur decided to marry each other in a small wedding on January 3, 2024, two years after their engagement. The couple had a civil marriage at Taj Lands End in Bandra. They later exchanged vows in Udaipur, according to Christian traditions.
