Apple鈥檚 upcoming iPhone 17 series is already creating a buzz months ahead of its expected September 2025 launch. This time around, Apple is gearing up to introduce four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and the top-tier iPhone 17 Pro Max. Notably, the Plus variant is reportedly being scrapped due to underwhelming sales, making room for the sleeker 鈥淎ir鈥 version. iPhone 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro, 17 Air, iPhone 17 DesignThe design shift in the iPhone 17 series is one of the most talked-about changes. Apple is planning to make the iPhone 17 Air the slimmest iPhone ever with a thickness expected between 5mm and 6.25mm. It鈥檚 also set to sport a 6.6-inch display, placing it perfectly between the base and Pro Max variants in size. The Pro models are rumoured to transition from titanium frames to a more durable aluminium-and-glass hybrid back. Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 17 will stick to a familiar design but could include a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective display coating. The camera layout is also getting a makeover. The Pro models may feature a new rectangular aluminium module, while the iPhone 17 Air will opt for a sleek single-lens setup in an elongated module. In a welcome move, Apple is reportedly bringing the 120Hz ProMotion and Always-On display to all iPhone 17 models, not just the Pros. iPhone 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro, 17 Air, iPhone 17 Specifications (Expected)Performance-wise, the iPhone 17 and 17 Air will run on Apple鈥檚 A19 chip, while the Pro models will use the more powerful A19 Pro. RAM is also getting a boost, 12GB in the Pro and Pro Max models, and 8GB in the regular and Air variants. iPhone 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro, 17 Air, iPhone 17 Camera UpgradesPhotography lovers will be excited to know that the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to offer three 48-megapixel cameras–Wide, Ultra-Wide and Telephoto. The standard iPhone 17 and 17 Air will also see a bump to a 48-megapixel main camera, along with a 24-megapixel front-facing sensor for selfies.
