India鈥檚 oldest water tribunal gets yet another extension after 39 years of unresolved dispute

The Ravi and Beas Waters Tribunal, formed in 1986 to resolve water-sharing disputes between Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan, has received another one-year extension. Despite submitting a report in 1987, a final resolution remains elusive due to states seeking clarifications. The tribunal’s outcome is crucial for resolving the Sutlej-Yamuna Link canal dispute.
