Indian Navy Invites Applications From Unmarried Candidates for 10+2 BTech Cadet Entry Scheme

The Indian Navy is inviting online applications for 10+2 (BTech) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission). The advertisement is for 44 vacancies for Executive and Technical branch, and the course will commence in January 2026. Applications are being invited from unmarried men and women candidates (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India) for becoming Permanent Commissioned Officers in Executive and Technical branches under 10+2 BTech Cadet Entry Scheme after undergoing four year BTech course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. Candidates should remember that only one application is to be filled by a candidate. Additionally, the Indian Navy has pointed out that vacancies indicated are tentative and may be changed depending on availability of training slots. How to apply Candidates are to register and submit their application on the recruitment website joinindiannavy.gov.in. To save time during the application submission window, candidates can fill in their details and upload documents in advance under their user profile. The procedure for applying online is explained below. (a) Online (e-application). Whilst filling up the e-application, it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available to enable the following:- (i) Correct personal particulars details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate/12th class certificate. (ii) Fields such as e-mail address, mobile number are mandatory fields and need to be filled. (b) All relevant documents (preferably in original), Date of Birth proof (as per 10th/12th certificates), 10th class marksheet, 12th class marksheet, JEE Main 2025 Score card {indicating Common Rank List (CRL)} and a recent passport size colour photograph should be scanned in original JPG/TIFF format, for attaching the same while filling up the application. Candidates are to take print out of application and carry it along with original certificates/documents as mentioned in Para 10(b) while appearing for SSB interview. (c) If any scanned document is not legible/readable for any reason the application will be rejected. (d) The application once submitted will be final and no request for amendments/change will be entertained. Eligibility Candidates should have cleared Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent examination from any recognised education board with at least 70 per cent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50 per cent marks in English (either in Class 10 or Class 12). Candidates who have appeared for JEE Main 2025 exam (for BE/ BTech) are also eligibile. Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE Main All India Common Rank List (CRL) 2025 published by NTA. All candidates recommended by SSB are required to undergo medical examination applicable to 10+2 (BTech) entry. Guidelines for medical standards are available on the Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. There is no relaxation in medical standards on any grounds. Change of medical hospital/centre is not permissible under any circumstance. Selected candidates will be inducted as Cadets for the four years BTech Course in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering as per Naval requirements. On completion of the course, BTech degree will be awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Distribution of cadets amongst Executive and Technical Branch (Engineering & Electrical) will be as per the extant policy. The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. The cadets will also be provided with entitled clothing and messing. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail and SMS (provided by candidates in their application form). Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail/ mobile number till selection process is over.
