'I'm a Brit living in Benidorm - these three activities are a waste of your money'

A Brit in Benidorm claimed that three popular activities are the “biggest rip-offs” – despite being holiday favourites for Brits. Harry Poulton, known on TikTok as @‌harrytokky, didn’t hold back his critique of these tourist top picks in his viral social media video. The lad, who lives full-time in the Spanish resort town , admitted that party boat hires are “absolutely awful”. He also shared his scathing opinions on hopping on banana water sleds, which he said will leave you “red raw with sunburn.” Topping Harry’s list of things to avoid was parasailing, which he dubbed the “worst money” he’s ever spent, as reported by What’s The Jam. In a video, he pulled no punches about party boat hire. Harry declared: “Absolutely awful. I couldn’t think of anything worse than spending three or four hours in the middle of the ocean getting absolutely hammered.” He’d rather keep his €300-€400 (£255-£340) and get sloshed in a proper bar on dry land in Benidorm, urging others to “definitely avoid” the boozy gimmick. Next up, Harry warned that while banana boating is “great fun”, it’s a no-go for those nursing a sunburn. He cautioned: “Take it from me – don’t go on a banana boat if you’re red raw with sunburn. “It’s the worst thing you can ever do, it’s so painful. You’ll regret it the next day.” As for parasailing, he confessed to a one-time attempt that ended in him throwing up and pleading to be brought down. He concluded with a knowing nod: “I’m speaking from experience. “That was the worst water sports I have ever done in my whole entire life. Fifteen minutes of pure hell. It was awful. “I was up there throwing up, begging to come down, and no one would get me down because they couldn’t hear a word I was saying. “If you’re scared of heights or if you get seasick, I would avoid parasailing. It’s the worst money I have ever spent.” Harry, who regularly dishes out travel advice to his 43,700 followers, saw his cautionary video rack up a whopping 23,300 views and a flurry of comments. However, not everyone agreed with Harry’s opinions on Benidorm activities. One expressed: “Parasailing is fantastic fun.” Another quipped: “Fun sponge.” If you’re going on holiday this summer, then you might be worrying about what to pack – especially if you’re keeping luggage light. And that means if you’re only taking a small bag to fit under the seat, you don’t want to get caught out by the strict rules often issued by Ryanair and easyJet. For a product that will squeeze your belongings in, and that will spare you from the wrath of boarding staff, then the Aerolite Underseat Cabin Bag is apparently perfect for Ryanair travel – and it’s only £23.99. It also comes with zipped compartments, all with specific purposes to carry your travel essentials. On Amazon, the bag has over 2,700 reviews to give it 4.3 stars. The bag also features a 3-in-1 to help you organise your packing. If you’re wanting something a little more luxury, then this the Antler Chelsea Backpack could be for you. It does cost £140 – but you’ll be travelling in style.
