Ever fancied yourself delivering a safety demonstration on a flight ? One stag was hilariously duped into doing just that by his mates, as he was roped into assisting the cabin crew en route to his own stag do . The best man, Richard Purseglove, came prepared with a Ryanair -style uniform for the groom-to-be Jay, after conspiring with Jay’s fiance虂e to get his clothing and shoe sizes. Richard’s side gig as a flying instructor meant he had no trouble getting hold of an authentic cabin crew outfit. At the departure lounge bar, Richard unveiled the costume to 47-year-old Jay and their 14-man party, prompting raucous laughter before Jay even donned the attire. A video capturing Jay aboard the aircraft, earnestly checking passengers’ seatbelts and mingling with the crew, has since racked up 2.5 million views online. Despite the chuckles from passengers, Jay managed to partake in the safety demo with a surprisingly great The merry bunch were jetting off from East Midlands Airport to Dublin with Ryanair. Richard recounted: “I planned to speak to the Ryanair staff at the gate to let them know, but it was all a bit rushed and we were in different positions in the queue. “I made sure that I got to the aircraft before him and explained to the cabin crew that they had an extra team member today. “I reassured them that he’s not drunk and would be well behaved, but encouraged them to utilise him as much as possible. “I knew that once we were in Dublin, if I made him dress up, then we likely wouldn’t be allowed to go in any bars, so I knew it had to be on the way there”. Richard also mentioned his admiration for how the crew accommodated the additional ‘staff member’, saying they took it all in their stride. Jay, who is normally a fireman, threw himself into his impromptu role, much to the amusement of passengers. Richard continued: “The crew were brilliant. I actually think it was probably the most attention passengers have paid to a safety brief in a while. “He roamed the aisle chatting with other lads post-takeoff, and passengers were having a laugh with him, requesting drinks and duty-free items. “As we began our descent into Dublin, the cabin crew enlisted his help for the rubbish collection. They were all fantastic. It was harmless fun”. The prank was a hit with viewers, and even a Ryanair crew member chimed in on the video to thank the group for a “fun flight”. One viewer commented: “I love how the staff allow him to get involved”. Another remarked: “See, this is how stag do’s should act. Having a good bit of fun. Not getting drunk and getting all lairy”. “I was part of the crew that day. Thanks to this amazing ‘colleague’ for making everyone laugh. It was such a fun flight thanks to you,” a third viewer added. Others expressed their enjoyment, stating “this is the type of fun we like to see on flights”.
