Donald Trump was present at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where the FIFA Club World Cup final 2025 took place between PSG and Chelsea on the 13th of July. The US President was interviewed by DAZN, the popular global sports streaming service, where he was asked if he would consider passing an executive order to rename American Soccer as Football in the USA.

Trump accepted the confusion in the nomenclature of the most popular sport in the world, as he agreed that countries like the USA, Canada, and Australia call it Soccer, while a majority of other parts of the world call it Football. Trump felt that he could change it and accepted Football to be a great sport to watch.
