Many people will say that steak is one of their favourite foods , however, it can usually be expensive to buy. It might even be rather pricey to eat at a restaurant, as well as cooking it yourself at home. Most foodies will be aware of the long list of health risks that can come with eating too much red meat, which includes steaks. Red meat consumption, particularly processed red meat, is associated with increased risks of certain cancers, heart disease, and type-2 diabetes. However, eating red meat in moderation can be a good source of protein, iron, and vitamin B12. If you find your craving for steak is growing, but don’t want to spend the money to get it, one savvy woman named Ella-Rose Zohra shared her current go-to way to get a cut for as cheap as 拢2 per steak by taking advantage of a supermarket meal deal. “I discovered this steak deal a few weeks ago and I genuinely think I’ve told every man and their dog about it, because it is quite literally the best steak deal I think I’ve ever seen in my life,” Ella-Rose said in her TikTok video. She continued: “And I’m not here to gate-keep, so I’m gonna tell you guys about it. Surprisingly, it’s at Waitrose , which Waitrose isn’t normally known for a great deal, but let me show you this.” Ella-Rose then walked into the Waitrose supermarket and walked over to the chilled BBQ section, as the deal was part of the supermarket’s ‘3 for 拢13’ deal with BBQ items. She then held up the steak in question that she’d grown a liking to, saying: “It’s these smoky chipotle beef steaks. Because they’re marinated, these are so beautifully tender and the flavour is genuinely incredible on them.” “And you can get six of them for 拢12, so it’s 拢2 a steak” she added. “If you’re a fan of fillet in particular, they’re quite fillet vibes.” She then went on to point out that she’d just realised the store also offered a pack of four chimichurri beef bavette steaks in the deal too, if you don’t fancy the smoky chipotle ones, which lowers the individual price to just 拢1 per steak if you were to get three packages in the deal. People soon took to the comment section of the video, as many were quick to praise the supermarket for their steaks, “The chimichurri ones are unreal! Would recommend,” one person said, while a second viewer commented: “Decent deal, thanks I’ll check it out.” Another person also shared: “Strongly recommend the steak from the meat counter. Often reduced!!” However, another person said: “They literally took all their beef products out of the 3 for 拢12 offer. Will give this a go but can鈥檛 be as nice as sirloin.”
