A 15-year-old class 10th student allegedly hanged self to death after he felt ‘insulted’ by his teacher. In a suicide note found from the spot, the boy blamed his school teacher for scolding him. The incident is of Jai Bajrang Vidyalaya in Maharashtra’s Amravati. As per the reports, the boy could not answer the questions asked by the teacher and was allegedly scolded in front of the whole classroom.
Embarrassed and ashamed by the incident, the student allegedly committed suicide. The teacher had told him that his parents would be informed that he was not studying. In his suicide note, the minor named the teacher and mentioned that he did not like being scolded or having his parents brought up.
After the unfortunate incident, the neighbours allegedly beat the teacher, he is currently hospitalised. A police case has been registered against the teacher, and a probe is underway.
In another incident reported from Hyderabad, an 18-year-old IIT JEE aspirant allegedly ended his life by jumping from the Victoria Memorial Metro Station in Saroornagar. The student had recently completed his Intermediate education and was attending coaching for IIT entrance exam. As per the officials, he was likely depressed and he also called his mother before taking the extreme step.
As per the boy’s kin, he was suffering from depression after he could not clear JEE Mains exam.
