Glastonbury 2025 is finally here, but how can you watch or listen to it every day through the BBC?
Returning for the final time before taking a fallow year, this year’s edition of the UK’s biggest festival is shaping up to be one of its biggest ones to date.
Taking place in Somerset from Wednesday (June 25) to Sunday (June 29), Glastonbury Festival’s organiser Emily Eavis has said it will not be using its full 210,000 capacity.
Headlining the famous Pyramid Stage is indie band The 1975, music icon Neil Young and 22-year-old pop star Olivia Rodrgio.
On top of this, Rod Stweart is taking on the Legends Slot, Charli XCX is bringing back Brat summer and The Prodigy will pay tribute to the late Keith Flint.
With the race to get tickets harder than ever before, millions of people across the UK will be looking to avoid fomo by taking in the action from the comfort of their home,
The BBC are once again Glastonbury’s exclusive broadcast partner, bringing audiences a two-month celebration of the festival this June and July, across TV, BBC iPlayer, radio and BBC Sounds
The stacked line-up of broadcasters presenting the coverage includes Annie Macmanus, Danny Howard, Dermot O’Leary, Greg James, and Jo Whiley.
Live streams of the Pyramid, Other, West Holts, Woodsies and the Park stages will be available across the weekend, with British Sign Language and ultra-high definition versions available for acts on the Pyramid Stage.
From 12pm each day, running until late, The Glastonbury Channel on the iPlayer will present the best acts across the line-up, interviews and all the surprise guests.
The channel is being helmed by Clara Amfo, Huw Stephens, Jack Saunders, Jamz Supernova, Jo Whiley and Lauren Laverne.
Once the original broadcast ends, nearly every performance from the main stages will be available on the iPlayer for 30 days after the original broadcast.
Seeking to provide content for a modern audience, Glastonbury Recap will release clips from the event, as well as five compilations that will remain available for a year.
From Friday to July 30, a 24-hour loop of the festival’s best moments will air on The Glastonbury Highlights channel.
Glastonbury 2025 TV schedule
Friday, June 27
The One Show helps kick off the Glastonbury weekend on BBC One and iPlayer with a live link to the festival from 7pm and Clara and Lauren are live from Worthy Farm as things really get going on the first full day of music, with all the big stories of the day so far from 7.30pm.
Clara and Lauren are also on BBC Two and iPlayer from 8pm, where they will be bringing performances from across the stages, including heading to the Pyramid Stage for iconic Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette’s debut on the farm. Then it’s over to the West Holts Stage for 90s R&B group En Vogue’s showcase of their nosalgic bops.
BBC Four starts its Glastonbury coverage with a North and South mix from 7pm. Indie darlings English Teacher will take The Park Stage before Wet Leg rock out on the Other Stage. Oxford rockers Supergrass and Blossoms will also be showcased. Acclaimed UK hip-hop artist, Loyle Carner is closing the night’s music fest on BBC Four with a live headline performance from the Other Stage.
Jack and Jo are live from 10pm on iPlayer and BBC Two as they get ready for the first headliner of the weekend, The 1975. The 1975’s first show in over a year will be aired on BBC One from 10.30pm.
Then from midnight on iPlayer and BBC Two, Clara and Jack present highlights of the first full day of music at Glastonbury heading into the early hours.
Saturday, June 28
Clara and Jack are back live from day two at Glastonbury Festival, introducing performances from across the five main stages on iPlayer and BBC Two from 5pm. They kick off with pop icon JADE, who performs on Woodsies, and American singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile, borth of whom are making their debuts at the festival. Then it’s over to the Other Stage for Californian 90s rockers Weezer.
BBC Four kicks off its second night of Glastonbury coverage with Creedence Clearwater Revival legendary frontman John Fogerty from 7pm. The station’s 9pm double bill boasts Amyl & The Sniffers and Portishead’s Beth Gibbons.
Lauren and Jack are live from 7pm on iPlayer and BBC Two, looking over the side to introduce electronic music pioneer Gary Numan, who is making his debut at the festival as he takes to The Park Stage. The mysterious Patchwork’s identity will be revealed on the station.
The unstoppable Raye takes to the Pyramid Stage as the penultimate artist on the Saturday night bill on BBC One and iPlayer from 9pm, before all the attention turns to Charli on the Other Stage at 10.30pm.
Those seeking Neil Young can tune into BBC Two and iPlayer from 10.10pm, with the best of the day’s action arriving at midnight
Sunday, June 29
Clara and Lauren are live from the final day of Glastonbury Festival, introducing all the stories from Sunday afternoon on the farm on iPlayer and BBC One from 5pm. On the Pyramid Stage, purveyors of timeless hits Nile Rodgers & CHIC bring the disco tunes. Glastonbury Festival legend, the pop rock icon Rod Stewart will be on from 7.15pm.
From 10pm on iPlayer and BBC One, Jo , Jack and Clara introduce the Sunday night Pyramid Stage headliner, the Grammy and BRIT award winning global megastar, Olivia Rodrigo.
BBC Four’s final night at Glastonbury Festival opens at 7pm with the soulful voice of Celeste, offering silky vocals and heartfelt lyrics from the Pyramid Stage. 8pm will see funk pioneers Cymande, before reggae royalty Black Uhuru step up with a setlist spanning more than five decades.
The fan favourite channel will show Snow Patrol on the Other Stage and St. Vincent on the Woodsies Stage before The Prodigy make their first appearance at the festival since the passing of iconic frontman Keith Flint in 2019.
Glastonbury 2025 radio schedule
BBC Radio 6 Music is once again the radio home of Glastonbury, bringing All Day Glastonbury from Wednesday to Monday (June 30). This consists of all tracks being from artists who have played or will play the festival this year, highlights from Glastonbury sets past and present, and more live shows from the site than ever before.
On Friday, following All Day Glastonbury shows from Chris Hawkins in Salford (5-7am) and Nemone in London (7-10am), 6 Music will bring listeners broadcasts from Worthy Farm. Lauren (10am-1pm), Jamz Supernova (1-4pm), Huw Stephens (4-6pm), Sidetracked with Annie Macmanus and Nick Grimshaw (6-7pm), New Music Fix Daily with Deb and Nathan (7-9pm) and Steve Lamacq (9pm-12am) will all be on presenting duties.
On Saturday, following Amy Lamé (6-8am) and Radcliffe and Maconie (8-10am) from Salford, Jamz and Gilles Peterson kick off the live shows from Glastonbury (10-1am), followed by Craig Charles (1-4pm), Cerys Matthews (4-7pm), New Music Fix Daily (7-9pm), and Huw (9pm-midnight).
Sunday sees Amy (6-8am) and Radcliffe and Maconie (8-10am) from Salford, followed by Cerys (10am-1pm), Deb (1-4pm), Huw (4-6pm) Sidetracked with Annie and Nick (6-7pm), Matt Everitt and Friends (7-9pm) and Steve (9pm-12am) all live from Glastonbury as the 2025 festival comes to a close.
On the morning after the festival ends, Nemone (7-10am) and AFRODEUTSCHE (10am-1pm) will be live from London, with reflections and highlights from the weekend complemented by three exclusive new mixes from very special guests, including English Teacher and Maribou State.
Radio 1’s New Music Show with Jack Saunders begins the station’s live coverage from Worthy Farm on Thursday (6-8pm). This is followed by Radio 1 Dance’s Takeover of the BBC Introducing Stage with Danny Howard, Arielle Free, Sarah Story and special guests, which will be simulcast on Radio 1 and Radio 1 Dance (8-11pm).
Greg James broadcasts his Radio 1 Breakfast Show live from Glastonbury on Friday from 7 to 10am, with Danny, Arielle and Sarah back on Radio 1 and Radio 1 Dance from 6pm.
On Saturday, Sam MacGregor and Danni Diston (1-4pm) explore what’s happening around Worthy Farm on Radio 1, and on BBC Radio 1Xtra, DJ Target presents 1Xtra’s Pre-Party show live from Glastonbury (7-9pm).
There will be more music from the festival broadcast on Radio 1 and 1Xtra during the evenings of Saturday and Sunday. In the weeks that follow the festival weekend, Radio 1 Dance will broadcast some exclusive DJ sets, recorded live at Glastonbury.
BBC Radio 2’s Dermot O’Leary kicks off the station’s Saturday coverage(8-10am), with he and Zoe Ball (1-3pm) broadcasting live from the site, both talking to performers, campers and bringing listeners highlights from Friday’s day of sets. Zoe’s show will feature an interview with Sunday’s Legends slot performer, Rod Stewart. Edith Bowman will later broadcast a Glastonbury Highlights show that night from London (10pm-12am).
Jo will be presenting the highlights from the weekend so far and from that afternoon from 5 to 8pm on Sunday, returning the next day at her usual 7-9pm slot to reflect on the weekend.
Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour is back at Glastonbury on Friday (10-11am) to bring all the buzz and excitement of Worthy Farm to Radio 4. Anita Rani brings listeners special guests, live music and explores some of the most dynamic women in the music industry.
Glastonbury on BBC Sounds will gift listeners live performances, specials, mixes and more across the next two months.
