How to travel to another island - Tinkerlands

So, you’ve saved the carpenter and moved him to your town but now you’re trying to travel to another island? This can be a bit of a hurdle for some Tinkerlands players, as the ship sailing map doesn’t make it immediately clear how this process works. The good news is that if you’ve made it this far, you’re likely fully prepared to set sail.

How to travel to another island

To travel to another island in Tinkerlands, you must have repaired the ship, selected an island to sail to, and then use a Map Chart with the Navigate button. To do all of this, walk onto the ship and right-click the wheel at the helm.

On the 5×5 grid of the map, select one of the other islands, it will be highlighted with a spinning red swirl. This is the island you will sail to. Next, click the ship button that says Navigate – this will consume one of your Map Chart items. After a short loading screen, you will appear on the coast of the new island.

From this point on, you can return to the main island and this new island via the ship and it won’t cost any resources. However, you can always place a few items in the hull of the ship, like chests and workbenches, to minimize how much back and forth you need to do.

There are other islands to sail to in Tinkerlands as well. Some you will need to first unlock by finding the corresponding map (like the Jungle), while others are available immediately, but they will have a higher difficulty level. When you’re ready, use that Map Chart item and set sail!
