Death Stranding 2: On the Beach’s story gives us a reason to rush forward through the early missions. This means we can suddenly find ourselves on a whole different continent. If you have unfinished business in Mexico and want to get back there, this is how to do it.
How to go back to Mexico in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
To get back to Mexico, you will need to unlock fast travel. This means playing to the end of Order No.12, at which point it will become an option for you. I don’t want to give any details on that mission, as it is a lot of fun, but it comes after about a dozen or so hours in the game, depending on how long you spend delivering random packages to different people.
When the mission is over, the DHV Magellan will be able to freely travel through the tar, acting as a fast travel hub. You can take it to a set “landing zone” at any base you have added to the Chiral Network. To get to Mexico, stand in the DHV Magellan and hit the Options button to bring up the map. Make sure your cursor is on an empty section of the map, then hold the X button.
This will enable the ability to jump between maps, indicated by small icons in the top left corner. Use the R1 and L1 buttons to switch between maps, then select the base you wish to go to and click on it. The DHV Magellan will teleport there, and you will be free to explore Mexico again.
