Accidental Generosity is a Triumph in Destiny 2 that taps into the very heart of what it means to be a Guardian. No, not defeating gods and traveling through space: collecting engrams. As part of acquiring the Legend Title, players must complete Accidental Generosity, which has them farming for engrams in the Skywatch on the Cosmodrome like the days of yore.
How to complete Accidental Generosity
The Accidental Generosity Triumph takes over a dozen engrams to complete. These engrams must be acquired from the Skywatch while players are wearing the Veteran Legend armor. Once you have the basics down, you need to focus on some additional tips to getting these. Who’d of thought it would be tough to get engrams to drop?
Probably the best tip is to defeat the Blistered Ogre that is below the helicopter pad on the Skywatch. This guy has a higher chance of dropping an engram. Go to the helicopters and follow the ledge down to a hole in the wall. Don’t get blasted off the edge, instead, blast the yellow bar ogre to bits. Once the ogre is defeated, you’ll want to reset the instance. To do this, go to orbit and fly back to the Skwatch and try again.
While you’re trying to defeat this ogre, you should also do a couple of other things. Equip the Public Defender Ghost mod as it increases loot from public events. You should then complete any public event that appears in the Skywatch. Loot the chest, and hopefully you’ll get some engrams. Keep an eye out for High Value Targets as well, as they can drop an engram – the chest doesn’t count.
Another idea is to play on a character that has the Prime Attunement buff. This buff gives you a chance to receive a powerful Prime Engram by defeating challenging enemies, like the Blistered Ogre.
If you get tired of playing in the Skywatch, you could try running some Strikes or Battlegrounds that pass through the area. These activities can sometimes have more enemies than normal, increasing your chances of someone dropping an engram.
Finally, if other players keep sitting in your instance (which will prevent you from easily farming), you can change the date and time of your system. This will put you as a solo operative in patrol, ensuring you’re not interrupted or the ogre kill doesn’t get stolen.
Outside of these tips for farming Accidental Generosity, there’s not much else you can do other than get in there and farm. It will take you a couple of hours. But, there’s not long left until this Triumph, and the Legend Title, are no longer available. Be sure to stop by our Destiny 2 Strategy Guide for more help, especially as The Edge of Fate arrives.
