Belfast City Airport has recently announced that it has increased the price of its drop-off fees by 拢1. It will now cost 拢4 for those who want to use the express drop-off area at the airport, although drop-offs are still free at the long-stay car park. The Express Pick Up and Drop Off area was introduced in 2023 as part of an overhaul of parking at the airport with 10 minutes of free parking then introduced at the Long Stay carpark. However, while the the 拢1 increase will annoy some people visiting the airport, it is still cheaper than nearly every other airport in the UK with only Cardiff and small regional airports such as Inverness, Isle of Man and Gurnsey being free. Luton Airport has the most expensive drop-off charges in the UK at 拢10 for 10 minutes.
