CWI U-19 50-Over
Guyana鈥檚 campaign in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Rising Stars U-19 50-Over Championship went from bad to worse as they lost their second consecutive encounter following a seven-wicket defeat to the USA 1 yesterday at the St Paul鈥檚 Sports Complex in St Kitts.
Fresh off their crushing 140-run defeat to Barbados in their opener, the Guyanese were skittled for 150 in 44.2 overs after batting first.
Romario Ramdehol and Afraz Ali Budhoo buffered respective top and lower order collapses with 48 and 43 runs, respectively, to ensure that the bowlers had a fighting total to possibly defend, as Sahir Bhatia, Supransh Kumar, and Shiv Shani combined for eight wickets.
Bhatia recorded 3-14, while Kumar and Shani snared 3-23 and 2-16, respectively. Rampersaud Ramnauth was the only other batsman in double figures with 22 runs. The total proved inadequate as USA 1 raced to 151/3 in 32.5 overs.
