Golden Retriever Sees 'Favorite Building,' Immediately Makes a Break For It

Internet users can’t cope with a mischievous golden retriever being escorted out of his favorite building after making a break for it.Sailor, the 8-month-old golden retriever tried to complete his very own mission impossible when he spotted his favorite apartment building in New York City. Once his owner was suitably distracted by making conversation, nothing was going to stop him from getting inside.Sailor’s owner, Abigail Crouch, 24, was left feeling rather embarrassed when her adorable vigilante had to be carried out of the building by the doorman, Eric. Sailor didn’t seem to mind too much though, as Crouch told Newsweek that he was just “so happy getting all the attention.”Indeed, he was certainly pleased with his antics and enjoyed being escorted to the street.”We were at his favorite building (that we don’t even live in) saying hi to his favorite doormen, and when I was distracted talking to the doormen, he sprinted inside, making me drop the leash,” Crouch said.”Sailor first was offered a treat by Antonio, one of his favorite doormen, and since then he drags me to the apartment building every day. Eric, loved the excuse to scoop sailor up like a baby and bring him back.”While this was the first time Sailor ran inside, Crouch joked that he directs her to that building “no joke, three times a day.” But he’s not even in it for the extra treats anymore, he just loves seeing his friends and getting fuss.”We even know the schedules of his favorite doormen (sun-Wednesday) and if it’s Thursday-Saturday we literally avoid it because he’ll throw a fit if they aren’t there and refuse to move,” Crouch continued.”Sailor’s obsessed with them and the feeling is mutual. One of the door men is even training him and makes him sit, down, and high five before he gets his treats.”Following her dog’s great escape, Crouch shared a hilarious video on his dedicated TikTok account (@sailorthenycgolden) showing the moment he was carried back outside. Internet users can’t get enough of Sailor’s antics, leading to more than 2.2 million views and 537,400 likes on TikTok at the time of writing. She also shared a follow-up video showing Sailor running up to his favorite door men and getting plenty of fuss (and treats) in return. It’s a bond unlike any other, as Crouch says it’s “a beautiful relationship” they share.”He loves getting a treat, but what he really loves is seeing the guys and getting their love. He always ends up sprawled in front of the door, belly up, and all three of them come out from the front desk to see him,” Crouch told Newsweek. There’s been an overwhelmingly positive response to the viral TikTok video. Sailor’s bond with the door men certainly warms her heart, and she’s delighted that she can share that online and spread the joy.The viral TikTok video has generated over 450 comments so far, as many social media users lauded Sailor’s mischievous stunt. One comment reads: “There’s nothing better than the face of Golden so proud of themselves for their debauchery.”Another TikTok user wrote: “Zero regrets on his face.”Another person joked: “The grin tells us he was planning it the whole walk.”While one commenter added: “absolutely no remorse whatsoever.”Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share?
