Rod Stewart is set to play the Glastonbury legend鈥檚 slot on Sunday (June 29), but what is his net worth, how is his family life with his eight children and why have fans been fearing about his health? Following a weekend that saw The 1975 headline the annual event for the first time and Charli XCX bring Brat summer to Worthy farm, Rod is gearing up for one of his biggest ever shows. Scottish singer Rod, was the first act confirmed for the festival鈥檚 2025 edition, playing the afternoon slot at the Pyramid Stage that Shania Twain performed last year. Also known as the Teatime Slot, Cat Stevens, Diana Ross and Kylie Minogue have all proved why they鈥檙e legends in recent years in front of tens of thousands of people. Rod will be playing all his biggest hits from across his career from 3.45pm until 5.15pm, with pop star Oliva Rodrigo wrapping things up later in the evening. According to celebritynetworth.com, Sir Rod has a net worth of $300m (拢240m) as a result of the staggering success he鈥檚 achieved since his career began in 1962. The website states: 鈥淭hat number includes the value of his real estate and his February 2024 $100 million catalog sale. During his career to date, Rod Stewart has sold more than 250 million albums worldwide. “That makes him one of the best-selling musicians in world history. Ten of his albums have reached #1, and he has earned a chart-topping single in six consecutive decades.鈥 Sir Rod also appeared in the Sunday Times Rich List in 2019, which estimated his wealth at the time as being 拢190m. Sir Rod has been known to regularly donate his money to good causes and charities. Earlier this year he paid for a private autism assessment for a four-year-old boy after he read about the case. He said: “I鈥檝e been very successful in my career and blessed so far with good health. I also have seven children who are all blessed with good health, so I can鈥檛 imagine what it must be like for the boy鈥檚 parents.” Sir Rod has also used his money to pay for private hospital scans and even fixed potholes near his home in Essex. Away from the stage, Rod shares eight children with five women. He is a father to four daughters 鈥 Sarah, 61, Kimberly, 45, Ruby, 38, and Renee, 33 鈥 and four sons 鈥 Sean, 44, Liam, 30, Alastair Wallace, 19, and Aiden Patrick, 14. Rod鈥檚 eldest daughter was welcomed with his ex-girlfriend Susannah Boffey, Kimberly and son Sean came from his marriage to his ex-wife Alana Stewart, with his ex-girlfriend Kelly Emberg giving birth to Ruby. During his marriage to Rachel Hunter, Renee and Liam were born. The singer鈥檚 youngest children, Alastair and Aiden, are shared with his current wife, Penny Lancaster, whom he married back in 2007. On top of this, Rod is a grandfather to Kimberly’s daughter, Delilah; Ruby’s son, Otis; and Liam’s two children: Louie and Elsie. In March 2025, Kimberly announced that she is expecting her second child. Penny, 54, is a model who has appeared as panelist on ITV’s Loose Women since 2014. Speaking to People in 2021, Rod said that seeing his children and wife 鈥榳ith big smiles on their faces鈥 is what 鈥榤akes him happiest鈥. Recent weeks have seen fans fearing for Rod鈥檚 health , with him initially postponing two of his Las Vegas concerts over his ongoing flu recovery. Saying his doctors 鈥榦rdered more rest鈥, Rod was scheduled to perform on his One Last Time tour at The Colosseum at Caesars Place. Sadly for fans hoping to see him in action, Rod took to Instagram earlier in the month to confirm that six more of his shows in Nevada and California have been rescheduled or cancelled. 鈥淚 have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu,鈥 he wrote in a post shared on Saturday (June 7). 鈥淪o sorry my friends. I鈥檓 devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I鈥檒l be back on stage and will see you soon,” he wrote. Thankfully Rod鈥檚 Glastonbury set is going ahead as planned, recently telling Annie Macmanus and Nick Grimshaw on the BBC Sounds podcast Sidetracked By Glastonbury that he has no plans to slow down any time soon despite being 80. 鈥淚 love all of it鈥 I鈥檓 enjoying performing now more than I鈥檝e done in my entire life and I鈥檓 in my 80s鈥 you鈥檒l see it at Glastonbury, my energy and enthusiasm is overwhelming almost. 鈥淚鈥檝e got a band I absolutely adore being with. This band has got 6 women in it, I think that鈥檚 where the balance has been found. 鈥淪ome bands are all guys and there鈥檚 egos and too much drinking but the girls have equalled it out , it鈥檚 so lovely 鈥 it鈥檚 given me a sense of family when I鈥檓 on the round, we have dinners,鈥 he said.
