Furious聽mother filmed herself beating up her ex-boyfriend after finding him having sex with her best friend on the sofa - then beat his lover with a bottle of Lambrini

A raging mother filmed herself beating up her former boyfriend after finding him having sex with her best friend on the sofa.

The footage Kelsey Bainbridge, 26, posted on Facebook went viral over the weekend and prompted several calls to the police from horrified viewers.

Bainbridge punched, slapped, headbutted and appeared to stab Connor Brownless in her home in Spennymoor, County Durham, after finding him involved in a sexual act with her best friend, Lauren Clarke.

In the video Bainbridge rages at Mr Brownless as she attacks, telling him: ‘You are going to your grave, you.’

She wept as she appeared before Newton Aycliffe magistrates today where she indicated she would enter a guilty plea to two counts of wounding causing grievous bodily harm when she comes before Durham Crown Court on August 4.

Paul Donoghue, for Bainbridge, told the court: ‘I can indicate at this stage confirming Miss Bainbridge will plead guilty at crown court. She recorded most of what happened on video. She would be convicted based on that footage, it is graphic and clear enough for a court to convict her on that alone.’

Prosecutor Dan Hill told magistrates: ‘At around 9.30am on July 6th Durham Police were inundated with calls from the public, among them the complainant’s brother, after she posted a video to Facebook showing her carrying out a prolonged assault.

‘The allegation is that one of the injured persons was in a relationship with the defendant

‘The other, Lauren Clarke, was woken up by the defendant hitting her on the head with a bottle of Lambrini.’

Mr Donoghue said that on Saturday night Bainbridge had gone for a night out with her friends, leaving Connor Brownless in charge of their three-year-old daughter.

He said: ‘She had suspicions he had been drinking and taking drugs.

‘The video of this incident has been seen around the whole country over the weekend. In it he is standing there probably badly affected by drugs.

‘Towards the end of the night Miss Bainbridge came back to find that her best friend was in her house.

‘She came in and found the pair of them in what appears to be sexual activity and she became upset and angry,

‘These offences arose from that and she recorded most of them on video.’

Mr Donoghue described Bainbridge as ‘a troubled young woman’ who suffered from ‘trust issues.’

She had appeared before the courts four times previously and in the past five years had suffered traumatic events, he said.

In the first she was pushed from a wall, falling backwards and breaking her neck which led to a lengthy period of recovery and ongoing health problems.

Following that her brother was killed in a collision with a police car after a pursuit in County Durham.

Magistrates considered granting bail, but decided to remand Bainbridge in custody pending the forthcoming sentencing hearing.

Presiding magistrates Nicola Gregaory said: ‘The case is being sent to Durham Crown Court on August 4th and you will be remanded in custody until that time.’

The three minute video was viewed thousands of times after being posted by Kelsey Bainbridge at 9.30am on Sunday.

In it Connor Brown can be heard slurring his words as furious Bainbridge accuses him of having sex with Lauren Clarke on her settee.

She picks up an object and breaks it over his head before making stabbing motions towards his neck with the remaining part of the object, which is still in her hand.

Bainbridge then punches and slaps Mr Brownless and headbutts him, dragging him around the room in front of the camera that she set up to record the assault.
