Tranos, an African engineering and manufacturing solutions provider, has officially broken ground on a world-class production facility in Ogun State.

This new facility will focus on expanding Tranos鈥 production capacity in areas like solar panel manufacturing, gas generator assembly, cable management systems, power distribution and panels, and various other components. The project is a significant step in Tranos鈥 commitment to powering Nigeria鈥檚 industrial future and promoting local production capacity.

This milestone marks a significant step towards realizing the company鈥檚 mission to drive industrial innovation across the continent.

Speaking at the event, Chief Executive Officer of Tranos, June Abalaka said today鈥檚 groundbreaking ceremony is more than a construction milestone. 鈥淚t is an investment in Africa鈥檚 industrial future. This campus will scale our production, create jobs, and deliver solutions aligned with Nigeria鈥檚 energy and infrastructure ambitions.鈥

Abalaka sais the first phase will include a modern production floor and offices, with automation and Industry 4.0 features.

鈥淭he facility will protect existing jobs and generate hundreds of new roles, from engineers and technicians to production and administrative staff.

鈥淓mployees will work in an environment designed with ergonomics, natural light, and advanced ventilation, aligned with global standards.

鈥淓mpowering industries across Africa. Tranos鈥 trusted product portfolio will include: cable management systems, IEC type-tested power distribution panels, electrical and mechanical enclosures, industrial gaskets, pre-fabricated substation skids, and many more.

These solutions will ensure efficiency, safety, and reliability in mission-critical environments across power, energy, oil & gas, telecoms, and manufacturing,鈥 he added.

This development comes as Ogun State continues to attract significant investments, solidifying its position as Nigeria鈥檚 industrial hub. Recently, Dangote announced plans to build a seaport and expand cement production in the state, while Inner Galaxy Group is investing $400 million in a Stellar Steel Plant project.
