Susan Russell knows Bank of Ireland has a job on its hands to keep up with the pace of innovation that’s a given among the bank’s rivals who are emerging in the increasingly globalised financial technology (fintech) space.
As chief executive of Bank of Ireland retail, she is the custodian of a 240-year-old branch network – including in some cases properties that have been in the bank’s hands far longer than the State has even existed.
