Fiesta time for Estepona

Street parties, fireworks, live music, dancing, and lots of horses. Estepona, Spain, is preparing to host its Feria y Fiestas Mayores from July 1 to 6, presenting a week filled with diverse activities, free concerts, and deep-rooted Andalusian traditions.

The council has announced a packed programme full of music, family-orientated activities, and cultural celebrations, so there will be something for everyone.

The festivities begin on Tuesday, July 1, with a performance from singer Nuria Ferg贸 at Plaza de la Fuente near the Athletics Stadium. At 10.30pm, the fairground will light up, accompanied by the Estepona Municipal Band and a dazzling fireworks display.

The Caseta Municipal will be a hub for free concerts showing a range of musical styles. On Wednesday, July 2, Sevillian rapper Haze, known for his flamenco influences, takes the stage. Thursday, July 3, features a vibrant sevillanas show, Al comp谩s por sevillanas, with Las Soles, Mar铆a de la Colina, and Sal Marina. On Friday, July 4, La Voz winner and pop star Antonio Jos茅 performs, while Saturday, July 5, sees Andalusian rock legends Medina Azahara deliver a raucous show. Local acts, including La Marivilla, Tamara Jerez, Orquesta Sugar, Baraka & Ana Soto, and various flamenco, classical, and modern dance schools, will also perform throughout the week.

The fair welcomes all ages with tailored events. Wednesday, July 2, is Children鈥檚 Day, featuring a Tina Kids party and discounted rides. On Thursday, July 3, seniors can enjoy a special afternoon tea organised with Los Remedios Bakery. From Thursday to Saturday, free horse-drawn carriage rides will be offered near the Caseta Municipal, and from Friday to Sunday, the Paseo de Caballos will showcase riders in traditional Andalusian attire.

On Sunday, July 6, the VIII Andalusian Harnessing Contest, organised with the Estepona Friends of the Horse Association, will award prizes in multiple categories. The fair will close with a prestigious bullfight at the Plaza de Toros, featuring matadors Morante de la Puebla, Manzanares, and Talavante, who will face six bulls from the Hermanos Garc铆a Jim茅nez and Olga Jim茅nez ranches.

With its rich mix of music, culture, and tradition, Estepona鈥檚 2025 fair is set to open summer with a bang.
