ENGA is much safer than other centres around the country said Governor Sir Peter Ipatas.
Mr Ipatas said Enga has been maligned by face book warriors on social media regarding trouble fights and killings.
Sir Peter said people had a negative perception to the people of Enga after merely relying on social media and other media platforms.
Mr Ipatas said Enga is not like what people think.
He said Wabag town is quiet and peaceful where people can move around freely and do shopping and conduct other business compared to other centres like Port Moresby, Lae and Mount Hagen where people are rob by thugs in the day broad light.
鈥 There is trouble fight that do occur but it is confine and manageable,鈥 he said.
Mr Ipatas said Engans don鈥檛 attack innocent people but their enemies in the battle field.
He said Engan are peace loving people who doesn鈥檛 release their frustration recklessly.
Mr Ipatas said few tribal fights rock the province recently but that didn鈥檛 affect his government and the service delivery.
鈥淚 always tell the war lords to stop fight. But if they don鈥檛 want to listen, then it鈥檚 up to them. Just go ahead and kill yourself in your area. It will never affect the all people of Enga,鈥 he said.
