Emma Raducanu in 'love triangle' with two tennis stars 'fighting' over her

Nick Kyrgios has cheekily suggested Emma Raducanu might be part of a ‘love triangle’ involving fellow tennis stars Carlos Alcaraz and Jack Draper. Buzz around Raducanu ‘s romantic life has heightened with the announcement of her mixed doubles partnership with Alcaraz at the US Open, despite Raducanu’s clarification that they are merely pals . Their off-court camaraderie has not gone unnoticed, with Alcaraz joining her as brand ambassadors for Evian, and they were spotted enjoying each other’s company at Wimbledon. When questioned about any possible romance, Raducanu was swift to say, “I’m really happy to be playing with him” before emphasising “we’re just good friends.” Speculation grew when Kyrgios showed support on one of Raducanu’s Instagram posts, leading fans to wonder if he was keen on the British No. 1 women’s player. Kyrgios, who is working for talkSPORT after leaving the BBC, was asked about the public fascination with Raducanu’s private life. He jokingly replied: “I don’t know, I think it’s a love triangle! Draper, Alcaraz, Raducanu. They’re fighting over Raducanu I think, I’m not sure. “I think the outside [she looks happy]. I don’t know who’s making her happy. The tennis world loves a love story, they love to try and put two [players] together, but Raducanu is number one British female player at the moment, she’s doing fairly well. “Obviously, winning a grand slam at 19 is never easy, it comes with a lot of expectations from the outside world. But, you know, as long as she’s happy. “There’s so much pressure that comes with being the number one player and playing at Wimbledon, so hopefully she can find her feet. Imagine her and Jack Draper winning the women’s and men’s title, that would be something.” Raducanu has started her 2025 Wimbledon journey on a high note, dispatching fellow Brit Mimi Xu in straight sets on Monday. The 22-year-old created a dozen break point chances, taking five to secure a 6-3 6-3 triumph. The second round presents a formidable challenge for Raducanu as she faces off against 2023 champion Marketa Vondrousova, who enters the match after defeating 32nd seed McCartney Kessler. Meanwhile, British men’s hopeful Jack Draper is set to begin his campaign against Sebastian Baez on Tuesday, while Carlos Alcaraz has already got his campaign off to a win over Fabio Fognini.
