Eamonn Holmes has delivered some brutal commentary on Meghan Markle鈥檚 Netflix programme, With love, Meghan. The Duchess of Sussex launched her lifestyle show on the streaming service in March, featuring her products like jam, recipes and celebrities like Mindy Kaling. With love, Meghan has been met with mixed reception, with the likes of Piers Morgan savaging the series, and GB News host Eamonn has now followed suit. The presenter, 65, claimed he couldn鈥檛 鈥渋dentify鈥 with the series in a discussion on GB News on Sunday with royal commentator Ellen Coughlan. “I’m not sure what their next Netflix move is going to be,鈥 she began. 鈥淭he polo documentary did quite well for Harry, but I know Meghan鈥檚 lifestyle show hasn鈥檛 done particularly well. So it’ll be interesting to see what they come up with next. 鈥淚t’s not as if they’re short of cash, they’re reportedly worth about 拢44million between them. “I don鈥檛 see them running to food banks anytime soon. I don鈥檛 think we need to worry too much about them in that respect.” Eamonn replied: 鈥淚’m just curious, I鈥檝e never met anybody who’s watched or listened to anything they’ve done. Have you seen Meghan鈥檚 lifestyle programme? And if so, tell me about it.” Ellie informed him that she watched the show 鈥渙nly as part of my job鈥 and not with 鈥減ersonal interest鈥. 鈥淚t鈥檚 just not my cup of tea. But I did watch it, and I can see why some people liked it, and also why others didn鈥檛. It was heavily curated, very Instagram-friendly, very Martha Stewart,鈥 she said. “I think a lot of people were hoping for a more raw, gritty Meghan, with some insight into her real life. More like what we get with the Kardashians, let鈥檚 say. “But we鈥檙e not going to get that from Meghan and Harry. They have to curate their image carefully because, as you can tell, everything they put out gets picked apart with a fine-tooth comb.鈥 Eamonn replied: 鈥淪o what I鈥檓 sort of getting at is, does Meghan鈥檚 content resonate with you at all? “You mentioned it鈥檚 a bit Martha Stewart-like, but does anything in the show make you want to bake cakes or remind you of home? “Because I鈥檒l be honest there鈥檚 nothing in Meghan Markle鈥檚 house that I feel I can identify with.” This isn鈥檛 the first time he鈥檚 made furious comments about Meghan and Harry, having criticised their 鈥渘onsense鈥 display of affection at public at the Invictus Games earlier this year. 鈥淎ll this nonsense is in the papers today. If you just look at these pictures, all this is so acted out,鈥 he claimed, stating their gestures were 鈥渢otally fake鈥. His latest comments come after Meghan鈥檚 Netflix series was announced to return for a second season. It鈥檚 said to be landing in autumn, after the first installment was delayed due to the LA wildfires. Meghan announced on Instagram earlier this year: 鈥淟ettuce romaine calm鈥 or not (!) because I鈥檓 thrilled to share that Season 2 of 鈥榃ith Love, Meghan鈥 is coming!鈥 She then posted, alongside clips of her cooking: 鈥淥h, how I love ASMR!
