DYK Arjun Kapoor Turned Down THESE Blockbuster Films?

Arjun Kapoor, the actor who started his career with a massive hit alongside Parineeti Chopra, Ishaqzaade; the boy who carries the Kapoor legacy on his shoulder and has tried every genre in Bollywood, turns 40 today. Arjun is definitely one of the most trolled, misunderstood actors in the industry and he has no one else to blame for it. The actor has tried romance, thriller, mythology, and even comedy, but somewhere the stars fail to align in his favor. Happy Birthday, Arjun Kapoor You will be shocked to know, Arjun was about to star in 3 major Bollywood hit films as lead actors, but couldn’t. It is correct to say that if he had done these films, his career graph, box office status could have been very different. Here are the Blockbuster films missed by Arjun Kapoor: 1. Ek Villain Arjun Kapoor almost starred in Ek Villain, the 2014 action thriller directed by Mohit Suri and starring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor. Kapoor was the OG choice to play Guru Divekar, Ek Villain’s lead protagonist. However, he had to decline the offer, and eventually, the meaty role fell in the lap of Sidharth Malhotra, and its safe to say it did put the Shershaah actor on the map. 2. Kabir Singh When the remake rights of the 2017 Telugu film Arjun Reddy were bought by producers Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani, they had Arjun Kapoor in mind for the lead role. However, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had Shahid Kapoor in mind for the lead role as the actor himself revealed in one of his interviews. 3. 83 Arjun Kapoor was indeed considered for the role of Kapil Dev in the movie 83, but ultimately, Ranveer Singh was cast in the role. Director Kabir Khan has stated that Singh was his first and only choice for the character from the beginning. According to the reports, the film was initially developed with Arjun Kapoor in mind, but changes in the production team and the director led to Ranveer Singh being cast. On The Work Front Arjun was last seen in the romantic comedy Mere Husband Ki Biwi directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh under their banner Pooja Entertainment. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles.
