Don 3 is one of the most anticipated films, which has been facing multiple delays for several reasons. Now, a report states that everything is finally sorted, and Farhan Akhtar is planning to start shooting for the much-awaited action thriller by January 2026. While there were reports that Kiara Advani would no longer be part of the film due to her pregnancy, it looks like she has now decided to come on board.
As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, a source close to the development shared with Subhash K. Jha, 鈥淵es, there鈥檚 been a delay 鈥 but it couldn鈥檛 be helped. Ranveer Singh, who replaced Shah Rukh Khan in the franchise, had to deal with a wave of online trolling for 鈥榙aring鈥 to step into SRK鈥檚 shoes. Farhan and Ranveer mutually decided to lie low and let the heat die down. Ranveer also needed time to physically and mentally prepare for the role, which requires rigorous martial arts training.鈥
The source further added, 鈥淎fter that, Kiara Advani 鈥 who was signed on to replace Priyanka Chopra as the female lead 鈥 got pregnant. Farhan had to halt the film鈥檚 progress due to her changed circumstances. To add to that, Farhan got deeply immersed in his own acting schedule for the intense war film 120 Bahadur, where he plays Major Shaitan Singh. That film is scheduled to release on November 21, 2025.鈥
Now, with the makers eyeing January to kick-start the shoot, the target is to release the movie by December 2026. But the even bigger news is that the makers are planning a major surprise: 鈥淭here is a possibility that Priyanka Chopra may return to the Don franchise.鈥
Interestingly, this film will also mark Ranveer and Vikrant Massey鈥檚 reunion after Dil Dhadakne Do. The duo had also shared screen space in Vikramaditya Motwane鈥檚 Lootera in 2013.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh, who will play the lead in Don 3, is celebrating his 40th birthday today, July 6. On his special day, Singh dropped the first look from his upcoming movie Dhurandhar, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar.On the other hand, the leading lady of the film, Kiara Advani, is enjoying her personal life and is expecting her first child with Sidharth Malhotra.
