Could baby number three be a little princess for Rihanna? The 37-year-old music icon and beauty mogul, who is currently pregnant with her third child alongside her partner, rapper ASAP Rocky, may have revealed the gender of their next bundle of joy. This near-slip happened at the world premiere of The Smurfs Movie in Brussels on Saturday, June 28.
The couple, who already have two boys together, dazzled at the event, with Rihanna flaunting her growing baby bump in an icy blue-coloured dress, featuring a semi-sheer silk chiffon top and skirt adorned with sequins and feathers. She was seen thoroughly enjoying her mom era. At one point during the event, she spoke with Entertainment Tonight and acted coy when asked about her baby鈥檚 gender.
When the interviewer asked, 鈥淚s this the girl that you have been waiting for?鈥 With a bright smile on her face, Rihanna said, 鈥淟et鈥檚 see if it鈥檚 a Smurfette! I don鈥檛 know.鈥 She also quickly added, 鈥淐ould be a Papa Smurf too. Who knows!鈥 While she did not confirm the gender of her baby directly, she did confirm that her baby number three will also have a name starting with the letter R.
Sharing that she and Rocky are sticking to their naming tradition, Rihanna quipped, 鈥淚t鈥檚 always going to be an R name. That鈥檚 the one thing me and Rocky don鈥檛 fight over!鈥 The couple is already proud parents to their 3-year-old, RZA, and soon-to-be 2-year-old, Riot. They confirmed their third pregnancy at the MET Gala in May this year, where Rihanna debuted her baby bump for the first time.

Meanwhile, when Rocky spoke with the same media outlet at the premiere event, he shared a bit more about their third baby鈥檚 gender than Rihanna did. When asked whether they are expecting a girl, the rapper said, 鈥淚t is, man, it is,鈥 before holding up a Smurfette toy, the very character Rihanna voiced for in the upcoming film.

Speaking of her work front, Rihanna has stepped back from making music, and she is currently focusing on her beauty empire, Fenty. Though she lends her voice to Smurfette and has contributed a song to the upcoming movie鈥檚 soundtrack, which will be her only music for now. The new Smurfs movie, directed by Chris Miller, is all set to hit the theatres on July 18.
