The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is expanding its digital services to make travel easier for daily commuters. It has now partnered with ride-hailing app Rapido and ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) to allow metro tickets to be booked directly on the Rapido app. This step aims to make travel smoother by combining metro ticketing and last-mile transport on a single platform. Passengers can now book their metro tickets on Rapido and get flat Rs 25 fares on Rapido bike taxis for last-mile travel. DMRC Managing Director Dr. Vikas Kumar said the move is part of efforts to make metro travel more accessible and commuter-friendly. The plan also includes special pick-up points at select stations and safer waiting areas for women. With this partnership, DMRC is moving beyond just running trains—it’s helping build a more connected transport system for Delhi-NCR. Moreover, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is steadily expanding its vast network through the ongoing development of the Phase 4 corridor. Already India’s longest metro system, the DMRC spans over 395 km—including the Noida Metro Aqua Line and Rapid Metro Gurugram—and covers 289 stations across 12 corridors. Phase 4 is now taking shape, with services currently operational only on the 2.8 km Janakpuri West–Krishna Park Extension, which is part of the Magenta Line extension.
