David Beckham has extended an olive branch to his eldest, Brooklyn—whom he endearingly dubs ‘Buster’—amid the family’s fierce row. It’s been reported that Brooklyn, 26 and his spouse, Nicola Peltz, 30, have left the newly knighted David downhearted after they gave his 50th birthday bash a miss in May; an event graced by all of David’s other children: Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.
Brooklyn remained quiet about his father’s landmark celebration and recently acquired knighthood, despite having wished happy birthday to his father-in-law and brother-in-law on his social accounts. Nonetheless, David seems keen on mending bridges with the hot sauce aficionado, irrespective of Brooklyn’s cold shoulder, as apparent from his latest Instagram post.
In a heartwarming nod to ‘Lady Beckham’ on their anniversary, David expressed his gratitude to Victoria for blessing him with four offspring. He commemorated their union by posting an image from their opulent wedding ceremony in Ireland, captioning it: “26 years today you said YES to me. Happy Anniversary and thank you for giving me our beautiful children and building the life that we have together.
“I love you Lady Beckham @victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #harperseven.”
This gesture follows a similar one from Brooklyn’s sibling, Romeo, who seemed to extend a hand to Brooklyn after the sorrowful passing of Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota. In a grave incident, Diogo and his brother died on Thursday when they were involved in a car accident in Spain, reports the Mirror.
Romeo Beckham took to Instagram with a heartfelt message, urging his followers to express their appreciation for loved ones, accompanied by a series of broken-hearted emojis and the words: “The people that truly love you and care for you will always be there.”
Brooklyn Beckham has remained quiet, save for promoting his recent lucrative photoshoot with wife Nicola Peltz. The couple, who tied the knot three years prior, dazzled in a shoot for Italian label Moncler, striking poses just a stone’s throw from the Beckham family residence in Holland Park.
Labelled as a “love letter” to London, the glamorous photoshoot is likely to have stung Victoria and David Beckham, considering Brooklyn and Nicola’s sultry snaps were taken merely two miles from their home.
Adding insult to injury, on the day of the photoshoot, David was even nearer, attending the Chelsea Flower Show, which was only one mile away.
Images from the photoshoot have now been unveiled, showcasing Brooklyn and Nicola in an affectionate display.
Yet, a source disclosed to us: “The fact that Brooklyn was in the country and failed to see any of his family was heartbreaking. And not only that, but here he was posting about it.”
The insider added: “Brooklyn had kept the visit under wraps from not just his parents but also his siblings and extended family. It was incredibly sad that he’d travelled thousands of miles to London and hadn’t made any effort to connect. Catching up would have been a simple thing to do.”
