The CUET score can secure admission to prestigious universities in the country including Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), JNU and beyond. With the CUET UG 2025 score, students can apply to 243 universities and colleges nationwide, including central, state, deemed, and government institutes. Let鈥檚 check the admission process in detail:
Delhi University (DU): This top university offers 79 UG courses and has 69 affiliated colleges, making it a dream destination for many students.
Banaras Hindu University (BHU): Known as the pride of UP, BHU offers excellent courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce.
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU): Located in Delhi, JNU is renowned for its social sciences and foreign language courses.
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU): One of the prominent universities in Uttar Pradesh, AMU is known for its quality education and diversity.
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI): Admission to selected courses in this university is based on CUET scores, while others consider entrance exams or 12th marks.
In addition to these, deemed universities like Aurora Higher Education, Avinashilingam Institute, GITAM (Visakhapatnam, Bangalore, Hyderabad), Jamia Hamdard, Jaypee Institute, SRM Institute, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), and Vinayak Mission Research Foundation also admit students based on CUET scores. Government institutes such as Arya Vidyapeeth College (Assam), Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), Government College for Women (Jammu), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for agricultural programs, and Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) will accept the scores of over 13 lakh students from the exam held in 285 cities.
Each university has a slightly different admission method, but here鈥檚 the basic process:
Admission to DU: All admissions at DU are based on CUET UG 2025 scores. 12th marks are only checked for eligibility and do not affect merit or selection. After the results, register on DU鈥檚 CSAS (Common Seat Allotment System) portal, fill your preferences (college and course), and seats will be allocated based on CUET scores and merit availability.
BHU, JNU, and AMU: These universities also use CUET scores for admissions. After the results, separate counseling will begin. Apply on each university鈥檚 portal, where merit lists are prepared based on cut-offs and seat availability.
For deemed and government institutes, CUET scores are required, but additional criteria like interviews or 12th marks may also be considered. Each institute will shortlist candidates according to its policy. Counseling is not centralized, so check each university鈥檚 website regularly. Some have already opened application options.
Candidates must check the cut-off marks. Top universities require a 95-98% percentile, while others may accept 60-80%. They must prepare for counselling and keep necessary documents (12th mark sheet, ID proof) ready.
