They were called to the six storey building in Tenant Street, Birmingham at around 9.06pm last night (Saturday)
The fire was located on the open rooftop level of the car park and involved a smoking shelter.
Around 30 firefighters and five engines attended the scene, along with a hydraulic aerial platform.
Several nearby roads, including Tennant Street and Bishop Gate Street, were closed to allow crews to work safely.
This morning, crews remain on site to damp down the scene and check for the fire spreading as well as talking to business owners in the immediate area who may have been affected
