The Miami Heat could acquire rising star Jonathan Kuminga from the Golden State Warriors in a massive three-team trade proposal recently pitched by Sports Illustrated. The deal would bring Kuminga to Miami in a sign-and-trade worth $80 million. The idea comes as teams prepare for the 2026 NBA season and reassess their rosters following high-profile moves, including Kevin Durant’s recent signing with the Houston Rockets.In the proposed trade scenario, the Miami Heat would receive Jonathan Kuminga through a sign-and-trade agreement on a four-year, $80 million contract, along with forward Trayce Jackson-Davis.The Golden State Warriors would acquire Andrew Wiggins, Pelle Larsson, Mo Gueye, and a 2031 first-round pick that is top-8 protected. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks would receive Moses Moody, a 2031 second-round pick (via Golden State), and a 2032 second-round pick (also via Golden State).The Heat, who missed out on signing Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets, are expected to rely on their young core in the upcoming 2026 season. Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo are set to lead the team.Live EventsHowever, Kuminga continues to be mentioned in trade rumors connecting him to Miami. At 22, Kuminga has shown flashes of All-Star potential and already holds an NBA title. The Heat’s pursuit of him could address fans’ concerns about the team’s lack of star power.Golden State, in return, would reunite with Andrew Wiggins, a key piece in their 2022 championship win. Wiggins is in the final guaranteed year of his four-year, $109 million deal. He holds a player option for the 2027 season.The Hawks would gain shooting depth in Moses Moody and add two future second-round picks.
