Police have launched a fresh appeal for dashcam vision and new information as they investigate the alleged murder of Universal Store founder Greg Josephson.
Mr Josephson, 58, was found dead in his Clayfield home in Brisbane鈥檚 north shortly after 8pm on June 26.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with his murder.
Police are now asking the public for any dashcam or CCTV footage of the areas spanning Oriel Rd, Alexandra Rd and Barlow St between the hours of 7pm to 8.30pm on June 26.
Police discovered Mr Josephson鈥檚 body after they were called to the house while a large party was taking place.
A large group of teenagers were present at the property at the time of the incident, including the 15yo boy, police said.
Acting Assistant Commissioner Rhys Wildman said it was alleged that an altercation broke out between the teenager and Mr Josephson.
鈥淭here was some sort of altercation that鈥檚 resulted in this 58-year old male tragically losing his life,鈥 he said.
Police allege a household implement was used in the altercation.
鈥淚t鈥檚 not a case of carrying knives, it鈥檚 unfortunately allotted in a home,鈥 Mr Wildman said.
The teenager suffered minor injuries during the incident, Detective Acting Superintendent Craig Williams said.
He confirmed that police had located the weapon allegedly used in the incident.
鈥淚 can confirm that there was a party under way at the house with a number of young persons at the house,鈥 he said.
鈥淎s for what had occurred prior to the incident, it is still under investigation.鈥
Mr Wildman added that the party was a planned event and police were not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
鈥淧olice are not looking for any other party, so it was an individual, the 15-year-old is the sole offender that we allege was involved in this incident,鈥 he said.
鈥淭his is quite a traumatic incident that occurred, so the welfare of those young people will also be considered in this.鈥
