Celebrate Canada Day in Sicamous with an all-day block party celebration and fireworks on the beach.
Canada Day festivities will kick off with a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Seniors Centre located at 1091 Shuswap Ave.
Due to a lack of team registrations, this year鈥檚 Canada Day Road Hockey tournament has been cancelled. However, drop-in road hockey will be set up for anyone itching to score some goals.
People can use one of the street hockey courts set up on Main Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to enjoy the classic Canadian pastime.
There will be many more family friendly activities in the Kids Zone on Main Street with face painting, bouncy houses, family games and more.
Attendees can enjoy live entertainment and beverage gardens from noon until 8 p.m.
The Eagle Valley Arts Council will be running a Children鈥檚 Festival at the Red Barn Arts Centre located at 1226 Riverside Ave. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The celebrations will be capped off with Canada Day fireworks in Sicamous Beach Park starting at dusk.
