Oil Day (July 10) is another day of celebration for cannabis related product. So, what is Oil Day?

Also known as Dab Day, Oil Day is a day that many 鈥渃annabis concentrate鈥 consumers and dispensaries celebrate this 鈥渟till-somewhat niche鈥 category of cannabis concentrates, according to Blake Gurgul, wholesale and retail general manager of The Pass in Sheffield. It is celebrated on 7/10 because if you flip the date upside down it reads OIL.

While still a smaller percentage of the market, concentrates are enjoyed by connoisseurs and those looking to experience the smells, tastes, and effects of cannabis at an elevated level. While a lot of new users are intimidated by the process of “dabbing” there are many easy tools and new ways to consume concentrates.

Gurgul further explained that The Pass鈥 expert team of budtenders are more than happy to go over the 鈥渉ow-tos鈥 to dabbing, and what method might be best for you. Gurgul emphasized that The Pass curates a top-of-the-line hash rosin menu, a pure concentrate, and will have an incredibly enticing menu to offer throughout the entire week of July 10 and beyond.

Dan McCarthy, media specialist and communications manager for Canna Provisions Group, said 鈥淐anna Provisions鈥 special concentrates collaboration for their Smash Hits California Raisins strain earned a 2022 High Times award for best solventless concentrate, and they continue to offer Berkshire County鈥檚 largest rotating concentrates menu, with an array of 710 deals on live rosin, wax, brick hash, and sugar.鈥

Sweetgrass Botanicals in Lee will be having unannounced in-store deals for 710.

Jack鈥檚 Cannabis Co. in Pittsfield also will be having deals for Oil Day, according to a spokeswoman.

Himalayan High in Becket will be having some unannounced specials, said Kyle Gelinas, its general manager.

You must be 21 years or older to consume, purchase or visit a cannabis dispensary website.

Have a great Fourth of July and for my 鈥渙lder鈥 readers, Oil Day.
