On July 1, a video was circulated on social media showing a teacher at State Preschool Educational Organization No. 53 in Gijduvan district, Bukhara region, behaving aggressively toward children. The regional Department of Preschool and School Education responded to the incident.
According to the department, the video was promptly reviewed. It was established that the incident took place on May 27 of this year. As a result, the employment contract of the teacher, identified as M.A., who was found to have seriously violated professional duties, was terminated by the organization鈥檚 director on June 30.
The department further reported that the underlying causes of the incident are being investigated in detail at the preschool institution, and efforts are underway to address existing shortcomings.
It should be recalled that earlier this year, during a meeting with officials from both state and non-state preschool education institutions, Minister of Preschool and School Education Hilola Umarova announced that 32 administrators and educators had been dismissed in 2024 following complaints of child abuse.
