Buk Bilong Pikinini Children鈥檚 Libraries hosted a tent at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium today during the Trukai Fun Run 2025, promoting their nutrition education program.
Mary Sawa, PR & Marketing Officer for Buk Bilong Pikinini, explained that with the support of Trukai Industries, they developed the 鈥淭ru & Kai鈥 storybook, from which the event mascots originated.
鈥淲e basically created a storyline that went into a storybook for our early childhood education centers. But they can also be used in Elementary schools as well,鈥 Sawa stated.
The book is a key component of their nutrition education program, which was launched in 2024 with Trukai鈥檚 backing. The program aims to educate young children and their families on the importance of maintaining a balanced diet.
