A British tourist has died after falling from a wall in Majorca in a tragic accident.
The 41-year-old lost his balance and plunged around 16ft to his death at the beautiful resort beach of Cala Aguila on the island鈥檚 northeast coast. Firefighters and police recovered the man鈥檚 body after receiving a 999 call. He is said to have died instantly after falling from the wall in a rocky area, around 1.30am this morning. It was not immediately clear if he had been on his own or with other people at the time. Police sources said today they were treating the incident as an accident.
The shocking incident comes after a series of recent fatal falls suffered by Brits while on holiday. In December last year, a 22-year-old climber fell to his death in a “terrible accident” while on a trip Spain with his father. Zachary Cook was climbing a route in Malaga when he detached a safety clip at the wrong time.
