Brentford reject Man United's improved offer for star player Mbeumo

Negotiations between Manchester United and Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo are ongoing, after an improved offer of €65 million was rejected.

Mbeumo has been on Manchester United’s radar since the opening of the transfer window and they are making an effort to complete the deal.

The 25-year-old Mbeumo is coming off his best season yet, scoring 20 goals and providing eight assists for Brentford, who finished 10th in the Premier League.

Man United bid rejected

The Red Devils returned with an improved bid of €73 million for the Cameroonian forward, according to Sky Sports, via Sportal. However, the Bees’ response remained unchanged.

Talks are expected to continue in the coming days. Reports in England suggest Mbeumo is solely focused on a move to Old Trafford, rejecting the possibility of staying at Brentford or joining Tottenham, who have also expressed interest.

Despite the difficulties, United remain determined to provide manager Ruben Amorim with his desired striker, who would join Matheus Cunha as the club’s first signing for the 2025/26 season.

Meanwhile, Viktor Gyokeres remains on United’s radar, with English media again linking the Sporting striker to the Red Devils.
